SPECIAL EVENT ANNOUNCEMENT: The Sudanese
Community Cultural Celebration.

Women Organization ( Vancouver Branch) and the Sudanese community are pleased
to announce a two days celebration commemorating the 60th anniversary
of the Sudan independence on January 1st
2016 from 6 pm to 12 pm, and on January 2nd from 11 am to 5pm at Burnaby
Hall 7837 7837 Canada Way, Burnaby, BC V3N 3K8
The Sudanese Cultural show brings inspirational Sudanese stories to life
in this annual independent day celebration on January 1st. The evening
features local politicians who you will also be able to meet, and an
award ceremony for recognizing outstanding contribution by the Sudanese youths
to the community. Refreshment is available throughout this event.
The second half of the celebration starts at 9 pm, and
features a performance by the talented Sudanese artist MIDO. Tickets are
available at the door and in advance by calling 778-788-5735. A diverse collection of Sudanese and North
American food and drinks will be available for you purchase and enjoy.
Day two of the celebration includes many forms of free
entertainment. Visitors can enjoy live music by mandolin player Alaa
Aldin, traditional music, dancing, drumming, door prizes, crafts,
and children’s activities throughout the day. Local booths will offer
shopping options.
The community is pleased to offer the people of greater
Vancouver an opportunity to experience Sudanese culture firsthand within our
City.
